Cookie policy
Last updated: October 22, 2026
Spoilery only uses technical cookies and storage tools needed for the site to work and to remember your choices. We don't use profiling, advertising or third-party analytics cookies, and we don't track your browsing on other sites.
| Name | What it's for | Duration |
|---|---|---|
st_session |
Keeps your session and keeps you signed in while browsing; protects forms against forged requests. | Until the browser is closed |
st_remember |
Keeps you signed in if you choose "Remember me". It only contains a random code, not your password. | 30 days |
st_lang |
Remembers the language you chose. | 1 year |
st_cookie_consent |
Remembers that you closed the cookie notice. | 1 year |
Storage in your browser
Besides cookies, the site saves some preferences in your browser (localStorage and sessionStorage), which stay on your device and are not sent to us: recent searches, the "Hide spoilers" choice, where you were in a list so you can pick up from there when going back, and the state of push notifications (e.g. if you chose "later").
To open faster, work as an app and show a notice when you are offline, the site registers a service worker in your browser that keeps a copy of the graphic files (styles, scripts, fonts, icons and images) on your device. Pages with your content are not saved. If you enable notifications, the browser also keeps their identifier. You can delete all of this from your browser settings (site data).
You can delete all this data by clearing the site's data in your browser settings or uninstalling the app.
Third-party services
Typefaces, icons and interface components are hosted on our own servers: we don't use Google Fonts or other external networks for these files.
Series posters and platform logos are loaded from TMDB's servers, which receive your IP address to deliver the images but don't set cookies on Spoilery.
Share buttons (WhatsApp, Telegram, Facebook, X) are plain links: we don't load their widgets and these services receive no data until you tap them. Sign-in with Google takes place on Google's pages, which apply Google's own cookie policy.
Consent and how to manage them
As they are all technical and necessary, these cookies and tools don't require your consent (Art. 122 of Legislative Decree 196/2003 and the Italian Data Protection Authority's Guidelines of 10 June 2021). The notice shown on your first visit is for information only.
You can still block or delete them in your browser settings: in that case signing in and some features won't work.
If we ever introduce non-technical cookies (e.g. analytics or advertising), we will ask you first with a specific notice and you will be able to refuse them.
