Child safety standards
Last updated: October 22, 2026
Spoilery has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM). This page explains what is prohibited, how to report it and what we do when we receive a report.
Zero tolerance
The following are prohibited on Spoilery, in posts, comments, images, profiles and anywhere else in the service:
• child sexual abuse material (CSAM) of any kind, including drawn, animated, edited or AI-generated material;
• any content that sexualizes minors, including underage characters from TV shows;
• grooming, requests for images, contact or meetings directed at minors, sextortion and any other form of exploitation or trafficking of minors;
• links, references or instructions for finding, sharing or producing this kind of material.
These rules apply without exception, including to content presented as a joke, fiction or "art".
Minimum age
You must be at least 14 years old, or the higher age required in your country, to sign up for Spoilery. If we find out that an account belongs to someone younger, we close it.
Spoilery has no private messages between users: posts and comments are public, visible to the community and reviewable by our staff. Every user can block anyone and report content and profiles.
How to report
In the app and on the website: tap "Report" on a post, comment or profile and choose "Child safety". These reports reach our staff immediately with the highest priority.
By email: write to support@spoilery.social with the link to the content or profile and a short description. Do not attach or forward the illegal material: the link is enough.
Without an account: use the help center on the website, which is open to everyone.
If a child is in immediate danger, call your local emergency number right away (112 in Europe, 911 in the US).
What we do when we receive a report
We review child safety reports before any others, usually within 24 hours.
We remove the content immediately and permanently close the accounts responsible, without notice.
We keep the necessary information only for as long and in the ways required by law, to make it available to the authorities.
We report the material and the accounts to the competent authorities: in Italy to the Postal and Communications Police (National Centre for Combating Online Child Pornography, commissariatodips.it) and, depending on the case, to NCMEC (CyberTipline) and to the national or regional authorities of the country concerned.
We cooperate with law enforcement and respond to their requests as required by law.
Prevention
Every user accepts the community rules when signing up. Our staff moderates posts, comments, images and profiles, even without reports, and can hide or remove content and suspend or close accounts at any time.
We update these standards and our procedures when laws or risks change, and we train our moderators to recognize and handle these cases.
Compliance with the law
Spoilery complies with applicable child safety laws, including Italian and European law (including the EU Digital Services Act), and reports the cases it becomes aware of to the competent regional and national authorities.
Child safety contact
For reports, questions about these standards or requests from authorities, our point of contact is support@spoilery.social. The people who answer this address know these procedures and can discuss our practices for preventing child sexual abuse material.
